HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! Christmas is almost here, so it is time to get your bows for pictures with Santa or even as a stocking stuffer. Don't have a little girl? Well, surely there is a little girl in your life somehwere that could use a bow!

These are bows that I have added to my collection to highlight the holiday season. There are 2 small ones (the red organza and the green/red polka dot/stripe) that measure about 2.5-3 inches. They are $3. The white/green/red polka dot bow is about 4 inches and it costs $5. The rest of the bows measure 4.5 inches+ and cost $6. All bows are attached to a lined alligator clip. Hurry and order today so I can get it to you before the madness of the season starts!

I made some custom bows for my sweet cousin, Dena. She and her daughter are UGA Bulldawgs, Georgia Southern Eagles & Disney Tinkerbell fans, so these are what I made up for them. I can do any combination of colors to suit your favorite team. The navy & gold would be a great Georgia Tech bow, too, and I'll let you know if I get in any other team bottle caps.

I had my first craft show experience at the Calhoun, Ga Harvest Fest this past weekend. The day was cold, but at least there was no rain. Traffic was pretty good, but not as heavy as I imagined it would be. Proabably a lot of that had to do with the weather. It was not a professional craft show, just a festival put on by the Mainstreet Partnership of our small hometown, but I thought they did a very good job. Overall, I am pleased with how things went and I definitely learned a lot. I had a lot of positive feedback on my products, so that was very nice to hear. People commented on how well-constructed and pretty all of my products were. I had several people mention other craft shows that I would be welcome to participate in, and one person even mentioned me selling my bows in her relative's gift store. Exciting. Wow, I am overwhelmed, really, with thinking of all of the possibilities where this thing can go. Thanks again for all of your support. Take a look at some of the things I had to offer.....

Hairbow holder: This simple hairbow holder is approximately 30"long, so it holds MANY hairbows. The bow at the top of the holder is removable AND wearable. Many different color combinations are available, and these bow holders are priced at $8.50 each. Consider this is a $6 bow + a bow holder.
So, let me explain to you just what my products are. My specialty is the "Bella Bow." This is a boutique style bow. Medium and large bella bows have a tail in the front. I make 3 sizes, mini (2"), medium (3"), and large (4"). Of course, I can make extra-large bows, too, but the minis, mediums and larges are the most popular items that I produce. All of my items are made with the finest ribbon. I really like offray ribbon, so I try and use that most of the time, but they don't carry everything that I like to have for offering. All products are of the highest quality. The bows are priced from $2 for a mini bella to $6 for a large bella, depending on the type of ribbon chosen. Prices increase with a higher level of embellishment of the bow. These prices are exceptional compared to children's boutiques. I can offer you lower prices because I sell directly to the public. Prices do not include shipping.
My current bow holders are fairly plain, with one ribbon attached to a D ring with one decorative large wearable bow. But, I have plans to develop and offer more exciting and artsy bow holders that include personalization, picture frames and wall hangings.
Let me add that I can make most bows in just about any color you can imagine. There is sheer ribbon, grosgrain, satin, swiss-dot grosgrain, polka dot grosgain, sheer dot, etc. And, from time to time, I even come along NCAA or NFL team ribbon. I will work on making a color wheel, but until then, you are welcome to make requests for whatever size bow you want with whatever ribbon you can imagine. I make 2" mini bella bows with the 3/8 ribbon, 3" bella bows with 7/8" ribbon and 4" large bella bows with 1 1/2" ribbon.
Thank you so much for your support of this blog. Please feel free to email me any comments or suggestions! Many more pictures to come.........
Carl Sandburg once said, "Nothing happens unless first a dream." So hear I am with my dream. I have thought for some time about opening a retail store or selling some product, and I have finally found the "something" that I can offer you, all the while maintaining a happy, healthy productive family life. Don't we all want that? This is the birth of Sweet Bella's bows & things. Named for my daughter, Stella Catherine, this is the company that will provide you with custom, high-quality, handmade hairbows and accessories for affordable prices. There are lots of things I can make and I will add new things from time to time, but my specialty is the girls boutique hairbow. I can do different sizes (2" Infant mini, 3" medium, 4" large) and different styles (layered with loops, bottle cap, embellished, etc.).
I use only the finest products to assemble these handmade creations, including Offray ribbon. Thus far, I have used mainly grosgrain and Satin ribbon, but I can also use sheer organza ribbon or velvet ribbon for a more formal look. I also make hairbow holders, and am looking forward to adding several other products to my line-up including braided headbands, more ornate and decorative bow holders, art smocks for children, pillow case dresses, and others.
So, here I am, letting you know that Sweet Bella's bows & things is now in existence. Take home a little bit of my dream!
